Black Tie Brands is an idea factory established by Scott Voelker with the mission of inventing, developing, marketing and sales of innovative products that save time or enhance people's lives in simple ways.
 

A dynamic team of entrepreneurs formed the firm in February of 2015 in Miami, Florida. Then, in May of 2018 opened the European office in Stockholm, Sweden. 

With decades of combined experience in sales, marketing, product development, etc., across various businesses, the partners determined it was time to use their experiences, skills, resources and creativity for the development, marketing and sales of unique products that save time, offer a better way of doing things, or simply are fun to use.
 

Their innovations and concepts range from various cleaning products to tools, watercraft accessories and more.

Black Tie Brands designs, develops and owns multiple products: we have our own in-house developed intellectual property - 11 patents and others In the pipeline.
 

Additionally, Black Tie Brands collaborates with other inventors, uniquely talented individuals and companies to develop and bring to market products consistent with the Black Tie Brands mission and standards. Because of the patent pending statuses and potential licensing agreements, the details of the products cannot be publicly disclosed at this time.

How many times do we all find ourselves saying something like, "Now why didn't I think of that?" Or, "There has to be a better way to do this."?

For us, it all started  one day when we were out riding our Jetskis in Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach, Florida. The water was turquoise and crystal clear, with a surf temperature of 86F degrees, and clear blue skies as far as the eyes can see. The tide was low, so the sand bars almost reached the surface. It was time to take a break and enjoy this perfect spot. What could be better than this?  

Well, shortly thereafter we discovered the tides that created our little paradise would turn. And with this incoming tide,  all of a sudden our Jetskis decided they wanted to drift away in the new current without us.  But, once we retrieved them, we discovered that neither one of us has an anchor that was designed for securing our vessels to sand.

When got home, and for the next couple weeks, and many wasted dollars later spent on various types of anchors, we found that there are really no good anchors designed to secure small watercraft in sand. 

It was at that very moment we decided that we need to do something about this. So we set out on a mission to design an anchor that worked well in the sand. 

Well, after almost two years later and much sweat, tears and money, this little project that a was inspired by a Saturday afternoon on a sandbar, our newly designed foldable anchor was born.  Not only did our anchor work in the sand, and not only was designed for small watercraft, but it would fold up to fit into smaller spaces, not damage the Jetskis while bouncing around, and would be easy to carry in a backpack.  This all seemed like an almost impossible task, given the typical perception of anchors. But, we pulled it off and we got our first patent.

Little did we know back then that fetching our runaway Jetskis was  ultimately going to launch a new company, Black Tie Brands.  As it turned out, this anchor became the first of what would become many new products created by us and Black Tie Brands, including more than 10 United State Utility Patents and 1 Chinese Utility Patent.

Next, as automobile aficionados, we set out to find better and easier ways to clean cars.  6 patents later, we have very innovative products that make cleaning cars easier and more efficient than ever before.

We know there are almost always better and more efficient ways of doing things, so we decided at that time that we would actually try to do something about this.  Our passion became finding new ways to do things and then successfully bringing them to market.

And in order to do that, we must develop and offer only high-quality unique products that have a broad appeal, whose products accomplish everything as advertised, and create a superior customer experience. 

And for us, this was just the beginning ... and we're having a great time at it!
